This fully submersible 250 Watt Quartz Heater with water proof construction and is very durable and reliable. Also, the 250 Watt Quartz Heater can be mounted either vertically or horizontally for easy tank installation. Fully adjustable temperature controls. To obtain the desired water temperatures follow the example below.

Example, you have a 55 gallon tank and the room temperature is 60 degrees F. (your tank temperature will vary) and you wish to maintain the water temperature at 80 degrees F.

Solution, delta temperature in degrees equals 80F minus 60F equals 20F (ie the temperature difference) from the heater guide. The heating wattage requirement is 253 watts. This value is the minimum wattage, and is not available. Therefore a 300 watt heater would be the ideal choice.
